​In order to develop in-house piping competence, STX OSV acquired the Norwegian piping supplier Johansen Maritime in 2007.

This subsidiary has a history back to 1923, and has developed extensively since then. STX OSV Piping produces pipes and installs piping systems, both for shipbuilding projects and more land-based building projects.

Approx. 150 employees are today employed within this area, some 50 in Norway and 100 in Romania.
